Hi Reader,
You came to the page of one of the best apps in this category a feature rich app to learn Telugu.
With changing times the slate is giving way to tabs.
If you make your child learn Telugu alphabets on a tab, perhaps, it is your futuristic step. Here is the software for you.
Telugu alphabets have the largest number of letters among Indian languages. There are 56. The less frequently used letters are omitted by many.
This app is a complete Telugu primer teaching all 56. Make your child learn Telugu using this. Then he is not missing any.
In case of those living away from home even their elder children might be yet to learn Telugu. This will be useful for all the children.
Salient features:
1.Animated letters and Sliding screens:
In the module titled “View alphabets” the letters are animated to show where to begin and how to write the letters. Two letters are made into a set as that is the tradition which also helps in better learning as most of the letters fall into pairs like short and long forms etc.
The screens in most of the modules slide. You can push the screens with your finger or by touching a tab or arrow. The next set slides in.
2.Practice teacher written:
This is a unique module in this app.
Learning is a great process which can make the child a scholar, a scientist or so. In Telugu society the teacher on the first day writes salutations to the almighty and the student practices it which brought the name “ONAMALU” to Telugu alphabets
This module facilitates that.
3.Controlled tracing:
For tracing the alphabets two different modules are provided. In the first module “Practice alphabets – overwrite”, as the student traces, a line forms on it and as many times the student traces so many lines form on it. This is good for too young children who cannot strictly trace on the line. In the other module “Practice alphabets – trace” the student has to go strictly on the line.
4.Read while you write:
In learning alphabets the student while tracing should also know how to read. Hence, the letters are read out once he finishes tracing the last stroke of the letter (in the trace mode).
5.”KA” guninthamu in autoplay:
KA guninthamu shows how the different vowel signs are joined to the consonant “KA”. This can put on autoplay. The audio in the background sounds like a song which the children catch easily.
6.Highlighted letters in short words:
For most of the 56 letters a word is written. The letter it is for is highlighted in red color while the rest are in blue.
There are a few pages of double syllabled words too.
7.Embedded pictures in text:
Traditionally riddles form a part of the text book of the children who are new entrants to the school. These make the children jog their memory and knowledge to answer the question. It is a lot of fun for the children.
There are twelve riddles with answer pictures embedded in the text which all scroll up or down when you push.
8.Text recognition:
Riddles also are readout. Move the riddles up with your finger. When the first line comes within top one-fifth of the screen it is recognized , the number is displayed at the bottom of the screen and then the riddle is read out. This works on text recognition in a small way.
And now, know some important points:
• User information is not accessed by this app.
• You need to agree to the “Privacy Policy” and “Terms of Use” before you start using the app. You need to provide a user id also which will be used for verification purpose.
• You can use the upgraded app only on one device.
• “Make and manage phone calls” permission is requested at the beginning. If you permit then audio from the app will be stopped when phone starts ringing.
• There are no ads in the app.
So now it is time. Decide and download and get your child the complete Telugu primer to make him learn Telugu in the high-tech way. Let him start with ONAMALU on the tab.
All best wishes.
